Project description
This project involves three steam units each with the nominal capacity of 160 MW, connection of these units to the current six gas units, and their conversion to a combined cycle power plant. Once this steam unit is added to the circle, the overall capacity of the power plant will reach 1452 MW and the efficiency will increase to 45%, entailing a considerable saving in the gas consumption. This power plant plays a significant role in improvement of the voltage profile and the network stability in southern Iran as well as export of power to Iraq.
