Project Description
The Aliabad power plant, with a capacity of 1014 MW, is located in Aliabad County, Golestan Province. The project was defined in two phases, and its construction began in 2010. Phase 1, consisting of 4 V94.2(5) gas units, each with a nominal capacity of 162 MW, and 2 V94.2(MAP2B) gas units, each with a nominal capacity of 183 MW, was completed in 2010. In phase 2, the construction of 3 steam units to convert the gas units into a combined cycle power plant is currently under construction.
