Zagros Kowsar Power Generation & Management Company was established in 2015. The company was founded with the goal of investing in, developing, and managing power generation capacities. Zagros Kowsar operates as a subsidiary of Saba Power and Energy Group within the Mostazafan Foundation.
The company owns and operates the Zagros Kowsar Gas Power Plant in Kermanshah Province, which features a nominal capacity of 648 MW. Additionally, it manages a 5 MW solar power plant in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province. The company’s operations focus on sustainable electricity generation, efficiency enhancement, and the expansion of renewable energy solutions.
The generated electricity is supplied through the wholesale market, bilateral contracts, and the Energy Exchange. Future initiatives include expanding generation capacity, completing the combined-cycle project, and adopting modern technologies.
