Saba Southeast Power Generation Company was founded in 2012. Aiming at production and supply of electricity for all the Iranian electricity network consumers and investment in the power plant industry, this company attempts to satisfy the home market and access foreign markets relying on its expert human labor and optimal management. This company purchased Chabahar power plant in 2013 from the Privatization Organization of Iran. According to its mid-term plan, in 2017 an EPC contract has been concluded and the project of conversion from gas into combined cycle started by adding a steam unit with capacity of 160 MW.
